From a newspaper article:

Mr. Bucklin was born on August 19, 1879. He worked with a Maine Central Railroad crew in the construction of the steel bridge across the Georges River at Thomaston, and later, in Boston, attended the New England School of Engineering.

This gained him employment as stationary engineer with electric light plants in Massachusetts and Vermont. Returning to Warren, seven years ago, he was appointed deputy sheriff by Sheriff A.J. Tolman, continuing in that position until Mr. Tolman's retirement, with the exception of brief service on the prison staff.

Sheriff Tolman considered him one of the ablest deputies the county ever had.

Mr. Bucklin was educated in Farmington Normal School and a Rockland business college. He has served the town of Warren as assessor and member of the School Board. He belongs to the Warren Lodge of Odd Fellows and a Masonic lodge in Vermont. He is married.

Brief item in newspaper:

Spear Bros., South Warren, had boiler and engine in place, ready for action after the haying season. Archie Bucklin would be engineer and fireman at the saw mill.

Headstone in Newman Cemetery is among Carpenter graves, rather than among Bucklin graves, and reads: "Here lies ye Body of Barah Bucklen, Decd Feby 7th, 1738/9 in ye 73rd year of his Age."
Query whether this is the same Barak Bucklin shown in the records of the Patriots and Founders roll which is the alternative source shown on Barak's death.

There are a number of Barak Bucklins born in about the same time and about the same place. Several are repported to have been buried in Newman Cemetary in Pawtucket, RI. There is confusion among the reporters caused by this number of Baraks. Hopefully, someone will take the time to investigate the cemetary stones and help to eliminate confusion Parents: Joseph Bucklin Sr.-Buck99 and Deborah Allen-Buck120.
